Easy Black Tahini Apple Crumble (Vegan, Gluten Free)


For 3 –4 serves

Ingredients

(Crumble topping)

25g Carwari Coconut Oil

25g Buckwheat Flour

30g Fine Desiccated Coconut

30g Crushed Nuts (Carwari Maple Almond, Carwari Salted Roasted Cashew etc – crushed)

1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

A pinch of Flake Salt

(Apple Filling)

300g apple – core removed and diced into 1cm cubes

1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice – freshly squeezed

1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

1 Teaspoon Corn Starch

Method

1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees.

2. Prepare the crumble.

Put all of the crumble ingredients in a bowl and combine well.

3. Prepare the apple filling.

Put all of the apple filling ingredients in a bowl and mix to combine. Transfer to a microwave-safe dish and cover it with plastic wrap. Microwave them for 3 minutes or until the apple cubes are soft.

4. Place the cooked apple filling into a baking dish. Use your fingertips to break up the crumbles into smaller crumbles pieces. Cover the apple filling with the crumble topping evenly.

5. Bake in oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

6. Serve warm with daily-free ice-cream.

If you don’t like a gritty texture of the crumble, wrap with plastic wrap after it cooled down and rest in the fridge overnight.

Heat it up in the microwave oven just before serving.

It will have a softer texture yet with a crunchy texture of the nuts.
