Baked Apple with Yuzu Tahini Walnuts Filling (Vegan & Gluten-free)








for 3 Baked Apples


Ingredients

3 Apples

(for stuffing)

50g Walnuts

20g Raisins

1/4 tsp Sea Salt


Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

  2. Chop walnuts.

  3. For the apples cut out the stem with a paring knife and scoop out the core inside. Leave a little bit at the bottom.

  4. To prepare stuffing, put Carwari Organic Hulled Tahini, Carwari Organic Yuzu Spread, Walnuts, Raisins and sea salt in a mixing bowl. Then combine well.

  5. Fill the mixture into the apples until it is heaped.

  6. Put water to cover the bottom of a casserole pot. Place the stuffed apples in the pot. Cover and steam-bake for in the preheated oven for 15-20minutes. Then remove the lid and bake for further 5 minutes.

  7. Take out from the oven.

  8. Smear Carwari Organic Yuzu Spread on each serving plate and put the baked apple. Drizzle Carwari Organic Hulled Tahini on top.
