Quick Pan-Fried Tempeh with Spicy Tamari Seasoning (Vegan, Gluten-free)

Using Carwari Organic Spicy Seasoning, you can minimise preparation time for this dish and it's ready within 10 minutes.

It is quick and easy finger food for beer or white wine.

Ingredients

250g Tempeh (Slice into 5mm thick)

1 Tbs Water

(Topping)

Spring onion


Instructions

  1. Heat a frying pan over the high heat. Add Extra Virgin Sesame Oil and heat the oil until hot. Add tempeh, Japanese Spicy Seasoning, 1 tbs of Mirin, Tamari and water. Then cook for a few minutes or until the bottom side of tempeh has nice golden crust. Turn them and continue to pan-fry another a couple of minutes. Pour the rest of Mirin over the tempeh and cook another 1-2 minutes.

  2. Stop the heat and transfer the tempeh to the serving plate. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of Toasted Sesame Oil, sprinkle extra amount of Japanese Spicy Seasoning and chopped spring onion on top.
